There are many reasons to be negative in South Africa – poverty, corruption, load shedding, crime and so I can continue.
But it is like being in a car that is stuck in the sand – complaining will only make the situation worse. You have to get out, roll up your sleeves and start pushing. It will be difficult but, if all the passengers help to push, it will be a lot easier.
“Pushing the car”, so to speak in SA, means doing your part. Don’t wait for the government or others to take the initiative – start with yourself. You may think your contributions will be negligible but every little bit counts. Be committed to your work, your family, your fellow South Africans, to God. Do your best. Cut all negativity from your life – it doesn’t help you or anyone else.
A great country in which all her people can flourish can only be built when everyone, from the babysitter to the president, does his or her part – how insignificant it may seem in the bigger picture. Be the drop that helps form the wave. Be a proud South African – God has blessed us with one of the most beautiful countries in the world. But how we fare as South Africans is determined by ourselves. By our commitment to take responsibility for what happens here. God gave us South Africa – but we are responsible to build it. To build a better future for our children.
Let’s take hands. PUSH! Together we can do it!
My vision for South Africa is: “For all South-Africans to be in a position to provide for their families, to offer their children a future, to make a contribution to their country, to be proud of South Africa and the individual contributions of their compatriots. That each will have the opportunity to meet and serve Jesus and God the Father”.
Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
